Dutch Guilder Dogs

I've got a handful of Dutch Guilder 10s. (with the Queenhead) They are going for about the metal price. Anybody know of a good strategy for trading up. I'm willing to pay extra of course for coins that are more well known with more premium potential. I bought sovereigns also, they did OK. Any ideas would be appreciated. Got a feeling the faster I do this the better.

Why don't you just wait till just before a good sized pullback? Sell them and buy something else.

OK but what to buy. Oh I guess anything but guilder 10s.

HOLD on to them. Euros in Dire Straits are about to scarf them up and the value skyrockets. Have patience.

I'm not familiar wih guilders but if they're government issued gold I agree with the advisor that says you should hold. He's way smarter than the rest of them.:15_1_70v:

I've since learned they are a little more AGW than a 20 francs.

They'll at least track the spot price... maybe more. Kinda rarish...

"Trade up?" Where do you think you are, the "Flip That House" forum? Gold is money. You don't "trade up" money. You use your money as:

1) store of value
2) medium of exchange
3) unit of account

Remember that the 10 guilder coins have oddball measurements: .01947 ozt agw @ .900 fine.
